1980-1989 - Arts High School "Igor Vieru", Chisinau
1989-1990 - Kiev Arts Institute, faculty of arts history and theory
1990-1994 - Bucharest Art Academy, faculty of arts history and theory (diploma paper under the supervision of professor Razvan Theodorescu)
since 1994 - Doctoral student at the Bucharest Art Academy, pursuing a thesis on the Romanian culture during the Phanariot period. The city of Bucharest seen through the prism of its neighborhoods and social life (civilization, art, the relationship between the state and the church), abandoned in 1998
1997-1998 - Master's degree in the history of art (the Division of South-East European Studies), pursuing a thesis on the post-war visual arts in R.Moldova, an interdisciplinary study (1940-1997); thesis defended in 1999
Author of over one hundred articles, essays, and art reviews about the old and contemporary Romanian art, as well as book reviews published in specialized periodicals in Romania (Ars Transsilvaniae, 22, Contemporanul, Balkon, Adevarul Literar si Artistic, Dilema, Observator Cultural, Artelier, Arhitext Design), Republic of Moldova (Contrafort, Columna, Sud-Est, Literatura si Arta, Tineretul Moldovei, Faclia, ART-Hoc, s.a.) and Hungary (Balkon).
